    ECO Meeting for Exeqs

    Meeting in room 309 on October 28th, 2009 (afterschool). Be sure to be there! If you missed it though, here's the info (as copied from the letter Cosmina sent out):

     FINISHED!
     earlhaig.ca/eco
     sign up for forum
     all events must be posted on calendar

    Ecological Literacy
     board almost finished (put executive list on board)

    Energy Conservation
     work on open blinds/shut off lights campaign
     begin de-lamping project

    School Ground Greening
     do yard cleanup with GMs
     new library blinds
     no idling campaign – ask Sammy (police officer) about law, get signs, talk to Mrs. G

    Waste Minimization
     match up garbage bins with recycling bins in the caf.
     Talk to main caretaker (Tom)

    Terrence & Tom & Calin
     contact other big clubs around the school (SAC, LC, athletic council, etc) to help with “Operation Clean”

    Terrence
     write excuse slips for recycling and get them signed by Mrs. G

    Mark
     look at big garbage bins at the back of the school to see how full they are

    Tanya
     plan mentorship presentations for middle schools (Cummer, Bayview, Mini Claude)
    - power point, icebreaker games, videos and pictures

    Kian
     plan video promoting earth week/earth month for April assembly

    Leaders for Each Committee
     Aliza – school ground greening
     Sahil – energy conservation
     Andrew – ecological literacy
     Kate – waste minimization
